Hello everyone,
I decided to join to be able to read more about Mlp, and be a bit up to date about G4 as well.
I have been collecting on a small scale for many years, mostly when I was younger (I am 27 now). I think I have about 100 G1 ponies, a few playsets,magazines, clothing, and I think I even have two boardgames
I really liked (and still do to a degree) the tv shows as well and have them all on vhs (and dvd now) too, in different languages.
I used to keep collecting a little, through second hand shops and flea markets, from 1997 (we could not find new ponies anymore in the stores by then). And I liked G3; with the introduction of G3, I added new ponies and playsets. However, when two/three years ago, I opened the boxes with my old G1 ponies, who were stored at my old room in my parents house, I found out that quite a few of them had problems. White and pink ponies had light and dark blotches in the plastic, and some others even had brown spots- and of course, those were the ones that I did not buy new. Nonetheless, some seem to have affected my own childhood ponies. It upset me a lot. I did some research, and did boil some of them etc., but I have to say the fun of collecting more ponies dissapeared right at that moment.
However, I still like reading about everything that is going on, love it that mlp has been brought back to anew generation, and I never get tired of looking at pictures of collections
And maybe some day, when I have time (I am a law student in my last year now), I would like to try to customize a pony
And, I also still have a complete set of twinkle eye ponies which I bought at a second hand sale, who can use some tlc and restoring- so enough projects for the future, haha
