Hello from Canada
« on: September 11, 2014, 08:19:11 AM »
Good morning!  Thank you for the add to the group.
My name is Michelle and I live in Manitoba, Canada.  I'm a 30 something (girls don't give away their age!  :P) wife and mom of 3 littles.  My boys are in grade 2 and kindergarten and my princess just turned 2.

I fell in love with ponies in the 80's when they were first released.  I had a modest collection, which I kept in pristine condition even though they were played with daily and loved very much.  My originals consisted of Apple Jack, Cotton Candy, Glory & Baby Glory, and Parasol.

My 2 year old daughter is the reason I've begun looking into ponies again.  I brought out my childhood toys recently and she instantly fell in love with my ponies.  I began looking on eBay to get a few of her own as I selfishly wanted to keep my own in good condition and didn't want her ruining them.

Since my daughter Kira was first introduced a little over 2 months ago to ponies, we've acquired Baby Cotton Candy, Surprise & Baby Surprise, Baby Cuddles and her buggy, Bow Tie, Sundance, Beddy Bye Eye HeartThrob and a collection of McDonalds ponies from 2005.  We lucked out with those and got an entire set new in their packages from a local thrift store for $8, a dollar a pony!

I found the site looking for tips on cleaning and such and look forward to learning a great deal more!

Regards,
Michelle

Hi and welcome to the Arena

I had Cotton Candy, Applejack, Glory and Baby Glory in my small childhood collection too.  They are still some of my favourite ponies to this day :lovey:
