So, to congratulate myself for getting my driver's license after taking the road test for the second time today, I bought myself a G4 Lily Blossom at Target. My FiM herd is expanding! And I think they're starting to grow on me. (Even though they still resemble mice...)

One question, though...how long have G4 brushables been packaged in bags for $2.99? And are they poorer quality than the $4 ones usually sold with accessories? One thing I noticed was that Lily's hair is all one shade of yellow, while past versions in different packages had two. (See this picture on Strawberry Reef)

The ponies in bags are low quality , their hair is chopped on the tail,they  are not the same as the ones on packaging for sure, they have only one dot on their eyes ,no irises in other words.

Yes, I've noticed these packaged ones are a bit lower quality than others, although it seems quality has been decreasing lately across packaging. The single packaged ones have eyes with one color (as apposed to the two additional color flecks see in other packaging) and have only one white spot in the eye (as apposed to two) as HoustonCollector72 said. I also noticed that paint is more often off its mark on some of the ponies; I saw a lot of uneven eyes and low cutie marks. When I used one as a bait, it seemed like the plastic was a bit more flexible, but I'm not for sure one that. I hadn't noticed anything about the hair, but you've got me wondering about that now....
