Help With Sales: Silent Aucton or eBay? Advice Needed!
« on: March 23, 2014, 02:00:33 PM »
I have a handful of pony items hanging around that I need to sell.  The most desirable items are two Funkos: Glitter Princess Twilight Sparkle & Lyra.

I want to get the best price I can for them in order to offset a recent trip to the veterinarian.  I was thinking of running a raffle, but after reading past threads about troubles with PayPal I've decided against it.  ChipIn.com was mentioned in a thread, but has since been closed down.

So, what do you think?  Should I just pop these ladies on eBay or sell them here via a silent auction?  Also, I've never run a silent auction on here, so any advice on how to handle that would be awesome.

Thanks!

I would most likely offer them up for sale here first. If all else fails then eBay is the way to go. It is a wider audience and you will be able to put a reserve or fixed price on them.

I agree with a silent auction here first - you can set yourself a reserve after all and only sell if they reach where you would like them to be in price. That way you dont have the extra charges a set reserve will cost you on ebay. And if you dont have any luck getting near the price you wanted then you could resort to ebay. :)
