Why hasn't Applejack been getting any love lately in the toy line?

I think there's a combination of self fulfilling prophecy and popularity contest involved.  Barring the good she's gotten in Season 4, she gets fewer standout episodes, gets neglected from some group shots on products for no reason, and they don't package her with her iconic item.  Despite Applejack being my favorite, I find myself not that excited about her toys.  I made a point of getting the Crystal Empire wave with the hat but that was actually a really good sculpt despite being the wrong color.  Was actually a good wave for all of the Mane 6 but I digress.  A valid point was made that she needs better toys and they've dropped the ball a few times on that.  Spots where third parties could capitalize on the gap don't get filled since they jump on fanon characters with more popularity (though they're mostly less interesting).  And it feels weird since Hasbro handles the toy side of things better for Transformers.
