today i went to the scholastic warehouse sale, and bought so many fancy things  *drools* i love books.

I have a lot to be thankful for right now. I am not working crazy amount of hours this year as I did last which means I can enjoy december more and really get in to the christmas spirit.

I had a meeting with my boss a couple of days ago where she said she'd noticed a positive change in me and that she was proud to have me working there, that I was an asset, not only for her but for the entire company.. I almost began to cry. I've never had anyone said so many nice things to me before, let alone someone I work for.

Now I'm enjoying a wonderful bubbly green tea foothbath and my feet are screaming of joy! It's Saturday, it's Lucia and I'm sitting at home just enjoying tea and chocolate.

Yesterday and today I received some of my grail ponies I recently bought. So happy.

Also thinking about buying a horse next year, so I can finally start riding again and get my health on the right track again.

Also tomorrow going to the town's big market in the hope of finding another birthday present for my fiancé.

I appreciate just being alive in general!! Im happy that my husband and I are alive and healthy with income- thats all that matters to me. Weve really been stressed lately as we lost a baby this month, but the holidays have really helped me cheer up!! There will be plenty chances later iin the far future. We are just celebrating our good health and spending time with our family, who we are also happy are doing well.

Also today we bought ornaments for our tree!!! Idk why, but im soooooo happy about it! Also theres soooo many new cheeses I have found out about that im so excited to try!

Yesterday was a super rough day for me, so I'm happy to announce happy things to start off today

My horse that I woke up to find lame yesterday is doing MUCH better this morning (it's not a serious lameness, no matter what she tries to tell you.  It's been soggy, disgusting and gross and she got thrushy in one of her feet.  She's a notorious wimp and sometimes goes "lame" just from having too much dirt in her hooves, so I'm thinking she just has an ouchy frog.)

One of my other horses likes to cram his head into hay and ulcerate his corneas on sharp pieces and I thought he may have done it again yesterday but couldn't see in the light.  This morning, his eye was fine, so I'm guessing it was just weepy from having dirt or something in it.  Another yay for not a serious injury there!

Every year, I do "The Twelve Days of Christmas Cookies" for my husband's office, where I send in a new kind of Christmas cookie for them to enjoy on the 12 days leading up to Christmas, and my first batch goes in today.  Christmas cheer is one of my favorite things EVER!

ETA: I try to make it a point, especially when I'm having a rough patch, to record three things every day that I am thankful for.  Even if it's just "I didn't burn dinner tonight".  It really helps my attitude when I think about the positives instead of dwelling on the negative, and I think it's a beautiful thing that this thread has been started

OMG aaaaand French Toast Crunch comes back out!!! My Tom Thumb is currently waiting on them to arrive!!!! That was mt FAVORITE cereal as a child, I fet to remember those smells and tastes from long ago! Im happy General Mills cares about their fans, im one of those who signed the petition to bring it back! To me thats something to be VERY happy about!

My happy things today are that I'm goign to riding today and I got a job after long time. Wohoo!

My doses of happiness for right now:

My husband managed to get off work so that we can go pick up our new birdie (!!!!) before winter weather hits, which takes a ton of stress off me.  I am a nervous traveler anyway, and when the weather is less than ideal, that always compounds things, so I'm very happy that this worked out!

I had a successful and stress-free ride on my green bean mare yesterday.

We finally found a good, orthopedic bath mat for my geriatric soul-mate dog so she can finally (safely) get baths again.  She really doesn't like bath day in general, but LOVES to be clean, and she's clearly more comfortable now.  She's getting to the age where arthritis is making it hard for her to scratch herself as much as she wants to, so I'm sure being clean helps her feel much less itchy.

My farrier asked to push our appointment time back, which gave me a surprise extra hour of morning.  That's always helpful around my place!
