Hi there forumers! I've stumbled across this forum for many years, and finally decided to join. I'm Elfie, and I was born in 1982, so I'm as old as ponies. Posey is my first pony. I don't know how old I was when I got her. She just always seems to have been there, and I've always liked my little ponies for as long as I can remember. I collect all the generations. I've done one or two customs. I also hang out a lot in the My Little Investigations forum, which is a crossover between Ace Attorney, and MLP FiM. I'm hoping to add this as my other favorite pony forum site. As much as I love the bronies, I felt lonely being the only G1-G4 fan over there.
I'm an artist. My name is LadyElfie2000 under deviantart. I go by the name Elfie on the internet because of my extreme love of Tolkien/Middle Earth/Lord of The Rings/Elves. I'm a big geek. I play video games, role play, watch anime, read fantasy series, love Disney stuff, go to conventions, and wander a little bit into the nerdy spectrum of geekdom with my love of going to museums, learning, and studying the natural world. I also play clarinet. I love animals, and work at a petshop.
Other likes: Bubbles, Traditional Animation, Glass, Rainbows, Shiney Lights (like L.E.D's), Minerals, Stars, Water, Nature, Cambria California, Jewelery, The Ocean, and Blue.
I currently don't collect any G1's. The only G1's I've added to my collection were to replace lost ponies (I still need to replace baby yoyo), and was to buy Barnacle off Ebay because he was a pony I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted as a kid, and never got. So I was fulfilling my inner child's wish by purchasing him. I spent too much money on him, and not enough research, and he came smelling like cigarettes. BUT he's mine. Sometimes I play with the idea of getting more G1's but haven't gone through with it. And sometimes I play with the idea of just buying G1's to restore them because I see way too many ponies who could be cleaned up nicely being sold as bait, when I think they'd do nicely on somebody's shelf after a little tlc. Not to mention restoration is fun.
I AM considering buying more G2's though because I was a preteen when they came out, and I only got 3 of them. Also, more ponies came out in Europe than they did in the states where I live. So, this is where I'm seriously looking to expand my vintage pony collection.
On occasion I play with the idea of collecting more G3's because there were an awful lot of pretty ones that came out in this generation. But I already have an awful lot of them.
G4's always on the look out for more of these, though I'm keeping up with them as they're released pretty well. And my boyfriend knows I appreciate ponies more than flowers, so he helps too.
And I won't touch G3.5's with a ten foot pole. I never bought one, and never had any interest in these.
