Unfortunately as a line, I think Galactica was spot on - they seem to have been a little rushed and heavily produced. For any mass market item like that, mistakes in boxing are inevitable. Considering, we as collectors, are just a tiny part of the buying market and yet spot and find so many mistakes, is probably a tell that its a common enough problem.
You will certainly get someone who may wish to pay a little over the odds in price due to the uniqueness of the release but its not something which is particularly sought after in collecting so we are not talking significant increase in value. Most people would most likely prefer a minty perfectly packed MIB doll over one which is packed incorrectly. Even some of the really weird G1 packing errors dont tend to sell for that much higher than you would expect. Its a bit of a refined market.
My personal favourite G4 error, is hornless Rarity
Headless Headmistress Celestia! Now we really know that they're going after Monster High with this line.
LOL! Perfect
