i think they are asking me to pay so that the package will be delived to her, but still i valued the package at 30 and they somehow got 750? really? they wanted to know how many items were in the box, i guessed about 25. then they wanted to know the value of the box....30..... why on earth would you times those two numbers together? and why would i pay it so that someone else could have it. UPS messed up somewhere.

I haven't heard anything so hopefully everything got fixed....

new problem or aggravation, I got yelled at by a buyer. I did the shipping estimate for a heavy box and the estimate came out to more than it actually cost (the money hadn't even cleared in my paypal yet) and the buyer yelled at me for overcharging for shipping. I didn't know until I shipped it that it wouldn't cost that much. plus some of the shipping cost was to cover all the fees.... I refunded a good part of what was overcharged but im pissed that he yelled at me. if you agree to pay that much for shipping you shouldn't get all pissed off at me when you find out it wasn't that much. I would have been more than willing to refund part of the shipping once the money had cleared but now I ended up refunding part of it with money I don't even have just because I don't want to deal with any more drama....stupid...making me mad by yelling at me just makes me wanna be mean back

Email:
I got my package todsy and seen the shipping label on it says $22.01, so where did my other $26.14 go?
I understand that it is ok for sellers to add a little padding to the shipping price for handling, but over $20 is not a fair amount for handling.
So, To repeat myself where is my $26.14????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????

am I wrong for being mad I don't think that was a nice email

maybe I should have responded with "in my pocket!!" lol  :silly:

You have every right to feel put off and even offended by that message. Your buyer clearly could have stated their feelings politely.

Whenever I've made a purchase and been over charged for shipping, I usually just send a polite message along the lines of:

Good day, just wanted to let you know that the items arrived and I'm very happy with my purchase, however I did happen to notice that the shipping cost turned out to be far less than what I paid. Was there an error that perhaps got overlooked?

Or something like what I just wrote. Some people are just rude and clearly don't realize that being polite and nice will you get you much further than being rude and unkind.

YES! that is the way I would do it to. but I got really offended by that email and when I sent his refund I told him there was no need to be rude....because that's what it was. I didn't mean to overcharge him.

I don't know--I'd be really upset if shipping was over $20 too much and I wasn't refunded on the date of shipping by the seller.  He could have had a softer approach, but I can understand the frustration.

Hope your UPS situation gets sorted quickly.

wow what a rude message :(  :throw:  - ok so i can understand the buyer being a little upset at thinking he'd deliberately been charged $20 extra , but the way he asked you about it was all wrong!   Yes he should have sent a polite message to ask about it , but  he shouldnt have just assumed you were trying to scam him on the shipping costs .  *sigh*  WHy do so many people on ebay have no manners these days?
