yay international pony mail :)

I received a wonderful package today from gotbunny :)
 inside two partiality deflocked ponies ribbon and buttons. ..keen to get started I completed ribbon in 11/2 hours! Using my trusted boiling and non acetone nail polish remover!
Now to do so soft buttons.... I'm very happy with the result of ribbon :)

also I received another parcel from ebay ...my grail night glider! She was a bargain £10 how could I resist! She has a couple of marks. She was described as having a hair cut but it was only a couple of strands trimmed next to her neck line :) the marks cleaned right off apart from a couple of regrind spots and hey presto... one perfect pony!

Will add buttons once she's de flocked :)

Not of ribbon but she was only a little bit deflocked :) buttons looks like how she did (sorry scary headless pony picture  :cry: )

Your de-flock looks awesome. I never have the patience for that kind of thing which is a shame because the end result is so beautiful.

thank you. ..it only took me 11/2 hours to do. I'm pleased with the results so far. She's so pretty under the flocking :)

thank you :) I love nightglider such a pretty pony :) I've wanted her for ages but shes htf in reasonable condition or cancer free! An early xmas present to myself :p
I love deflocking...but only really manky ponies though, makes you so happy to see them beautifully restored :)

She is pretty! And yes, you're right about the part of her condition.. I once had one that was in beautiful condition and I sold her.. later I thought about the fact that my own Nightglider has cancer so I should have kept that one..
I understand why you bought her as an early christmas present for yourself  :biggrin: !

I never did a deflock on a pony, but I will try it if I get a so-soft pony that looks really bad.

They are gorgeous!!! Did the boiling help?! I use pure acetone but its still hard to get rid of the glue! :)

yes I did boil the ol' gals lol only for about 10mins then rub away the fluff with my hands. I find that superdrug own brand acetone free nail polish remover is fab, its only about £1.30 and i havent used one for 3 ponies so far. slap it on liberally even on eyes and cutie marks...doesn't remove them at all but the glue just vanishes! If there is a stubborn bit I leave a cotton ball soaked in remover on it for a minute or two. Then scrape it off with an old blunt butter knife.
I only used pure acetone in the grooves under buttons hooves. The fluff gets really stuck in the letters lol
