Funko Pinkie Pie Question
« on: August 23, 2013, 05:55:07 PM »
Okay, so well all know the Funko ponies have their little quirks.

I've become very picky when selecting Funkos for my personal collection.

Pinkie Pie: What's up with the tail?  It consists of two pieces comprising of the larger outer portion and a smaller piece closet to the body.  Is it just me, or do all of the Pinkies have their tails glued a little unevenly.

I have been to two Hot Topics and have looked closely at five Pinkies trying to find the PERFECT one...and all have this tail situation in varying degrees.

Has anyone seen a Pinkie where the tail is perfectly glued together with no edges?

Not yet. All the Funko ponies I have seen are an interesting mix of gaps at the mold lines and/or questionable glue jobs. With that said they look great at a distance.

The Funko POP figures are are quite cute and only seem to have a few paint issues. (Twilight's horn and misaligned eye stamps)

All of them like that be they Pinkie or other ponies - its due to how they are manufactured no doubt. They are mass produced relatively inexpensive items they are not really "collector" quality in finish in the true sense of the word.

Mine has a tail that is okay, but she has so many other issues haha. My POP! figure however is perfect, paint and mold.
