My name is Cassandra Lyris, I'm a 31 year old married mom of 3 currently attending college to obtain my BA. When I'm not reading a metric ton of text books or chasing after children I collect dolls and ponies in my meager spare time.
Generally I personally collect G1 ponies, and most of all I'm seeking to regain ponies I lost 3 years ago to black mold. At that time I threw them out, not knowing I possibly could have saved them.  This included five male ponies, my only two so softs, my sister's childhood Firefly, our Yellow Totsy unicorn, Honey, and and perhaps most sadly for me my very second pony, Majesty. 
Since the black mold incident I've discovered that I really enjoy cleaning and fixing old toys, and I must admit that I purposefully hunt for mangled old dolls and ponies to refurbish. I'm hoping to eventually run into some sad versions of the ponies I lost and return them to Glory again.
It really is nice to be here and while I may seem to disappear from time to time this is from necessity and not desire. I look forward to meeting lots of new pony people.  I actually love all generations of MLP, and share my pony love with my 8 year old daughter, and together we have amassed a fairly good sized collection of G1, 3, &4. Sadly, I lack in G2 as I never actually find them second hand in the wild. I may take a personal hit to the wallet and pay...ebay prices...for some in the future, but for now I'm really looking forward to finding my G1 stand ins. I can never really "replace" them, however.
I'm sure I'm in understanding hands.

So sorry to hear you tossed out your ponies!  I did something similar with a pony that was covered in black marker pen once.  I didn't realize at the time that I could have sun-faded her.   I'm a G1 fan too btw and I hope you enjoy the forums

Happy to have you here- I had to give away my ponies to my sisters when I turned into a teen- my step-father said I was a 'baby' to keep them. I wish I could of kept them. I lost my all time love pony love when I was young- Bubbles and bought one from a member here. I know it's not the same as the one I lost but having found another one made me happy - I'm a big G1 fan because I grew up with them. I was surprised that they were still out - so I'm getting back into them.  Hope you find the replacements of the ones that you threw out- I would of done the same thing id there was mold on any if I was allowed to keep my ponies.
