Custom Alt. Birthflowers. Just want to get an idea for later on....

Hi,

I've been thinking about this for awhile. I really love the alt. birthflower ponies but I just don't think I can justify buying them for the prices that they go for. Also I just really like the idea of having customs of a set of ponies that are special to me.
So I was thinking of asking someone to make a custom set of the alt. Birthflowers for me.
I don't have the funds at the moment, I just wanted to see if there would be anyone interested and what sort of prices I would be looking at? That way I could get a better idea of when I could do this.
At the moment, the earliest I would realistically have pony funds is September/ October but that really depends on prices.

The Alt. Birthflowers are adorable ponies so I can see why you want to own them.  Luckily they are all pretty basic designs so they shouldn't be too difficult to have made into customs.  That aside, 12 ponies is a lot to commit to at once.  Why don't you choose just a couple first to get you started?  That way you won't be so out of pocket and you can still own some pretty customs

Thanks kiwimlp. Yeah, I know. Lol! It's very typical of me, I always seem to go over the top with things.

In my head I was thinking of maybe a long term commission.... I just wanted to get some ideas because I'm not sure how commissions really work. I've only ever bought already finished customs before.

Plus I wanted to work out a way to make them special to me, something to make them different from all other alt. birthflower ponies. But I'm not very creative so I was hoping for some ideas on that front too.

I was hoping to find someone to do them all for me (though not necessarily in one go).
But if 12 is too much, my favourites are Poppy and Morning Glory so they are the ones I would want to start with.

the idea of alts soudns fun. If you want to base them on your own ideas for every month you can always start by writing a month and what that month makes you think of, colours, flowers, symbols ect. If your no good at this though I'd be happy to help with ideas and talk with you till your happy with them. If you wanted a set from me I'd be happy to. I usally chrage about £10 for a basic pony, which is earth no wings or horn, if you wanted a horn i can always add one for a couple of pounds extra, wings make them more so and I',m only good a fairy wings , so if you want any pegasus's you can let me know and I'll make sure to get one for the same as an earth. If you do a lot with me though I'm happy to run you a discount because I know how exspencive this can get.

I LOVE the alt birthflowers!
I have one in the works for myself, of one that I made previously - lol (we both have the same birth month...but who ever has time to make customs for themselves?)

I had a look at your gallery.... did you have a picture of your Windy Wing Pony Rapunzel in arena a little while ago? Because I saw a picture of a custom Rapunzel as a winger in a thread about who had Rapunzel and I thought she was so beautiful!

Out of interest how much would it be for birthflower daddies?

Thanks for your lovely comment. Yes Michelle53 the new owner of her had a pic posted I guess.

The BF daddies were a commission so I don't have them anymore, but would charge 40$ for each of them due to the high bait costs. A set of Babies or Newborns would be cute too in my eyes.

I had a look for the thread in Pony Corral, yep it was Michelle53. Everyone really loved your Rapunzel.
There are some very beautiful Rapunzel customs in that thread but yours is definitely the best. Well, I think so anyway.

I've never seen a daddy pony that was bait before but I figured they would be more expensive than other bait ponies.
I bet the owner of your BF Daddies is very happy!

You are totally right! Babies would be so cute! Birthflower newborns! 
Oh man that is just too cute. I'm such a sucker for baby ponies too, especially newborns and babies in Baby Blossom's pose.
