I've floated around the pony community for quite some time, though tend to be a bit on the quieter side.
Since I'm feeling completely unoriginal tonight, I figured I'd start with the intro starter. (I'm known as Winter on Pony Island)

At the moment Utah, USA. I'm originally from Georgia, but have lived in Washington state and spent several years out-of-country while I was attending professional/post-undergrad schooling.
Do you work or attend school? Profession or major?
I graduated about 3 years ago and currently work in the animal health field.

How long have you been collecting?
off and on for about 16 years, though, admittedly I have slacked off just a bit.
Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1, G2, G3 or G4?
Predominately G1 and the earlier G3s, though I have a fair number of G2 and am starting to think about picking up a select few G4
What made you want to collect ponies?
Actually.... I don't think I ever really stopped.
I had a sizable collection from my childhood and remember bugging my parents to searching flea markets way back when G1's were plentiful and still easy to come by. *waves that granny cane*
Tell us about your collection!
Currently, I've got a decently sized collection of about 500 or so ponies: about 350 or so G1's (including some mail orders, most of the early euro babies {hopscotch, applejack, ect}), the entire US G2 line (though I definitely want to branch out to the euro set), and most of the early, pre- core 7 G3's. I absolutely adore the old MLP Porcelain figurines.
Sadly, most of my collection is about 2000 miles away in Georgia and is in sore need of a full inventory update. One of these years I'll manage to get it packed down and moved when I finally get a little more settled than I am right now. I've taken a break from actively collecting over the last couple years, but there are definitely still some grails I would love to get my hands on and some G4's I've been thinking about adding.
Along with ponies, I have a sizable Fashion Star Fillies (anyone remember them?) and a modest Grand Champions horse collection. I also adore Princeton Gallery and the Franklin Mint unicorn figurines and have a couple fantasy oil paintings hanging around.
Other interests include: Star Wars, Dr. Who, Harry Potter, Tolkien's works, and a number other SciFi/Fantasy realms. I dabble in some arts and crafts, including a little cross stitch, and cold bisque/ceramic panting (meaning, I don't fire my pieces). I also enjoy writing short stories, poems and playing the occasional RP, and spend entirely too much time on the internet. I can usually be seen stalking around Pony Island and have been on the site for far longer than I should admit!
