My little pony Tales cartoon Vs comic

I was wondering about this question for a while so is the cartoon or the comic of the My little pony Tales is the more canon? I wonder that since as I saw a few pictures of MLP Tales comic they seems so mutch different from the show. Example on one of them Teddy was hanging with Bon Bon insted Sweetheart.

Well, even within the cartoon itself they weren’t very consistent.  At one point Teddy blackmails Bon Bon to go to the dance with him.  (What a winner.)  As for the comics, I only have on issue focusing on Tales so I don’t know how different they are.  They are still basically anthro ponies in a non-magical world.

The pre-tales G1 comics are much different than “MLP & Friends”.  Basically they are a whole separate continuity in and of themselves.

I did like the cartoons better, but the comics were good, too. Though the two did seem inconsonsistent with each other.

There is no intent for continuous consistency across the comics and cartoon. Or at least not pin point, story by story accuracy if you know what I mean? Yes, they stick to some core rules but there are a lot of MLP&Friends and their predecessor MLP comics in which the tales ponies appear - in some stories things pan out in minor ways differently than they appear in the cartoons.

So I think you should be able to pick which world you prefer and go with it or simply just understand that in the cartoons and the comics things sometimes change from world to world.
