Hi there,

I'm a pretty unabashed G4 loyalist, at least on the toy front. I have about 70 unique blind bags, across all the different molds and waves. Many are picked for being characters from the show and the rest are for having pretty color schemes, though an unattractive color scheme will sometimes outweigh the canonicity of the show girls, e.g. Merry May's weird mane. I'm from the US, so wave 2 continues to elude me and I have to dream sadly of e.g. Cheerilee and Twinkleshine and Feathermay and Star Swirl and Daisy Dreams.  I have a smattering of other random stuff, too -- full McDonalds run, playful pony Trixie Lulamoon (by accident) and Lyra Heartstrings (to complement her), gift set Applejack and Twilight Sparkle, a big Pinkie Pie bubble blower, and some weird suction cup toys. My favorites are currently Sassaflash and Minuette/Colgate (not sure which name to use here).

I've not quite wrapped my head around what counts as an episode in G1, with movies and specials and things muddying the waters, but one way or another I've watched a few and overall enjoyed them, though the constantly changing main cast has prevented me from forming an attachment to any in particular. G3wise, I quite like A Very Minty Christmas and adore Star Catcher. Something about that mane, I dunno.

Among other things, I run Hoofstuck, the longest and longest-running MLP webcomic. For G4, that is -- no disrespect to Kimono's Townhouse. Of course, I make sure it has its nods to the toys and other generations.

I've seen this place at various times while searching for images or this or that toy, and been summarily disappointed when I couldn't view said images without a registered account. Moreover, while I'll refrain from going into any detail, I've tended to find traditional self-identifying "bronies" a less-than-appealing social group, and when I've seen the Arena derided on other sites, I've found the things said about it actually make it look better than the sites in question. So I hope to find that to be the case.

and welcome to the Arena.  Interesting web site.  The idea of just using a few central characters actually started in the G3 era, and then got more defined when they went to what is affectionately known as bore 7.  I think Hasbro learned a little by the rejection of that idea and remembered to give us some more characters to flesh out the shows with the G4 Core 6.

Sounds like your blind bag collection is amazing!  I only have a few of them, myself.  I'm glad you decided to make an account, we try really hard to be a little island of friendliness in the big scary ocean that is the internet.    I hope you feel at home and enjoy your stay!
