Stargate anyone?

I really liked the movie and SG1 but didn't get into SGA. I was bigger on SG1 in the beginning but lost a bit of interest (or maybe life just got to busy) in the later years... I think I only watched a couple SGAs though, might have to give it another try some day!

My boyfriend and I have all the SG series on DVD. We've watched all  SG1 and Atlantis, but after a bit of a break we're now watching Universe.  We're both huge fans. I must admit Daniel Jackson is vey easy on the eyes (no telling boyfriend though  )

I also love the fact that they were all filmed in Vancouver. Also that in one SG1 episode they went to Steveston, (Oregon (?), actually it's Richmond) It was awesome to see because I went there with a friend of mine, so it made that episode even more fun to watch.. lol

I watched the original film in theatres when I was younger, but didn't really get into Stargate SG-1 seriously until my wife was showing me how much she loved it. Now we both watch all the series, save for the animated one. That show was unfortunate in many ways.....

I agree completely with the Battlestar Galactica comment, I couldn't get into it myself. Three different times I tried to watch some of the "fan favorite" episodes but it was so military-esque that I couldn't dig it.

I love SGA! I discovered it about 3 years ago and watched all 5 seasons back-to-back.  The characters and story lines were all so good that I could easily have watched another 5 seasons.  I also have a fangirl crush on Ronon Dex (in my sig) so I often do re-watches of my favourite episodes

I've not watched SG1 but my brother tells me it is very good. I think the idea of 10 seasons is a bit daunting right off the bat though. 

I'm a huuuuge Sheppard, McKay, and Beckett fangirl. xD

SG-1 is good so far and, from what I hear, in the later seasons SG-1 and Atlantis overlap so Sheppard, Ronon, Beckett, and others make appearances.  And 10 seasons isn't that daunting if you can find someone to watch it with you.

I love McKay too and since writing fanfic I've come to really like and respect Sheppard for the wonderful leader he is.  Such a great cast in this show!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!  I own all the SG-1 and SGA, and kept asking for SGU for gifts but so far nothing, though I did watch the first half of the first season of SGU which I borrowed from the library.  Well, now I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas... SGU!  One of my favourite things to do is needlecrafts while watching Stargate.  I'm currently in the process of re-watching SG-1 (re-watched Atlantis a couple of times) while working on a Christmas project.  Halfway through Season 5.

Who mentioned the animated series... I had blocked that from my memory but now it's there again.  Must forget, must forget...

Another thing I like about SG1 is the inside jokes they put in, especially the MacGyver ones.

The MacGyver jokes are awesome, I loved the episode "200" with all the spoofs.  My favourites are the funny episodes.
