Hi everypony!
My name is Alla and I'm 22-year-old from Russia.
Well there isn't much for me to say about myself.
I was a huge fun of ponies in early 90's but there were very little ammount of pony toys in Russia =(
Just tv-series, 1 magazine (only 2 or 3 issues were released) and toys in McDonalds and Mattel store. But I liked them a lot anyways!
I can say that there is no such stereotype "every little girl wants a pony" in my country. Cats and dogs are far more preferable And Barbie was a DREAM more than reality than...

As for now, I hated every little thing about MLP:FIM when it all started! 'Cause they were SO ugly and so not alike those-first-ponies-from-my-childhood-which-actually-looked-like-real-animals-and-not-like-ugly-Btatz/Moxie-dolls...

But when the second season of the new show started I finally decided to wath 1-2 series to prove myself that it is crap. And totally fell in love with them. 
Yes, G4 do not look like animals. They are styled to be more modern and fashionable, to be up-to-date for nowdays kids. But it is totally OK in the tv-series because of the animation. Animation is sooooooo great! And songs which kinda remind me of old Disney movies are soooooo perfect too!
The new series are recreating my old childhood emotions.

But the 90's ponies will always be better anyway 
So, here I am!

I'm glad the G4 ponies finally won you over!  G1s will always be my favourites too.  Growing up in my country we didn't get a lot of the TUK release ponies (Hopscotch, Gypsy, etc) so it is exciting to be able to buy them now as an adult!  I hope you enjoy the fourms

Welcome to the arena   I was the same way with the G4 ponies when they came out in 2010. I would look at them and laugh. Now I love them and have almost all of them!
