With it being fall, I think a bright floral print like this may be out of place.

It's worth mentioning that the OP is in Australia, which is in spring right now.

Herderp XD  *rolls around in my american bubble*
I was thinking about that as I was posting it xD dagnabit! *throws cards in the air*

Then YES!  I think the dress is loverly!
;) but black dresses are always lovely to have o3o

So, the vote seems to be 50/50 xD!

I have black dressed... But their all floor length, all my dresses are floor length because I'm a bigger girl.  And yes, my boobs aren't on the small size. I would give anything for B or C cups LOL!

Well I am an apple shaped and that dress would be a bit big on me according to the measurements, I'm usually a size 26 so it's really hard to find a nice dress... That's not a moo-moo or granny styled. I've been looking for weeks for a nice spring dress but when i saw this I put in a bid thinking 'OMG it's colourful, it's my size! *places a bid*' and then an hour or so later I started thinking about it haha.

It's for a melbourne cup spring racing cocktail party thing. Thanks for the links I'll be sure to look into those, I've been trying to loose weight so I don't have to try so hard to find a nice dress but arrgghghhhh! Not working. I want to look nice, but not over done.

Personally, I am not a fan of what's considered fashionable. I find most of it in bad taste  - mini skirts and anything that falls several inches above the knee is just plain trashy.
Example:

Torrid is designed for the larger woman ans is supposedly "in fashion". Some of the dresses are OK but, again, I find most of them are WAY to short (above the knee), especially for a fat person (which I am)

speaking of which, I need to find 2 dresses for my cruise in Feburary

It's quirky, to be sure, but quirky can be fun!  With some bright shoes, that has some potential to be super cute.  It's a good spring print and if you feel good in it, then other people will pick up on that and you'll look great.  It's not a dress that I personally would wear, but that doesn't mean it's not cute.  I think you'll have to reserve your judgement until you see yourself in the dress.

Finding dresses is hard, are you sick of the moo-moo's as well? this dress comes to the knee or just above/below it. I'm kinda short at 161cm so most things are a little longer on me.

So you thought the ones you linked were trashy? D: I'm just, sick of wearing black all the time and floor length things. being longer on me I trip over it all the time, and hemming them up is expensive orz

and why wouldn't you wear it? do you think the print is timed? The more I look at it, the more 80's it is, I'm also thinking of making it into a U or a V neck thing.

While agree, it's more of a spring dress for sure, I like it. Trust me, the print is young enough, and so is the cut.

Right now you could go for more earthy florals, or a LBD.

Oh, it's spring here. Or do you mean it's too bright?

HAHAH, it's too late tonight for me. If it's spring, it's probably fine. :D

Like I said, the print is younger than you think it is, and so is the cut. But it is hard to tell without seeing it on you. :D

I think it looks great :) I'm a color person and I love the cut. It needs some cute, strappy sandals, either flat or heeled will work.

I really like the colors and the cut!  I think you should wear what makes you feel pretty, sexy and confident and not worry about what anyone thinks.  I'm so sick of black dresses, I think colors are fresh and exciting.  You will stand out, for all the right reasons.  The dress isn't short, and the bust doesn't look too revealing.
I say rock the dress and post pictures of you in it if you win:)
