Resolved:ponies still haven't turned up after 21 days

I'm just wondering, was it her or you that needed to pay by bank deposit? I'm wondering because if it was you, I think she got the money and said, "Hum, looks like I don't actually have to ship. I think I'll just keep this and screw her."

It was me who needed to pay by Bank Deposit, and yeah I could definitely see her doing that. I pay by Bank Deposit because usually what I buy is cheap enough that I won't be in the cold/left hungry/etc if the money up and disappears. I'm just really upset because I was really looking forward to restoring a bunch of baity ponies and having a few more G1s in my collection, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. It's why I chose to get a *replacement* Posey over a full refund because I wanted her a lot and I thought the seller was genuine about lost ponies. But the lying and screwing around cheeses me off so much so I'm going to see what I can do instead of being a doormat for her.

Anyways I would call ebay as this is sorta a unique situation.  I mean she oviously lied about the ponies being lost or you would not have received the exact same Posey. I would explain to them what you have explained happened here and see what they think on how you should proceed. 

I would also keep an eye on her account to see if the other ponies you were supposed to receive pop up for sale again.

I can't believe they sent the same Posey that was in the auction after saying the package was lost!  Did the person really think you were that dumb as to not notice it was the exact same pony from the lot that was "lost". This is definitely not a criminal mastermind, just a plain old liar/thief trying to take advantage of people.

Honestly, I think most thieves are really dumb. Especially internet related ones.

Then there are people that don't go out of their way but if push comes to shove they will rip you off. I especially hate it when I hear about a story like this. I still accept money orders on Ebay and hate to think that people can't be trusted to send something out if they get paid by a way other than Paypal. Ruins it for everyone.

Oak23 - What's up bro :-D Update as to the feedback you leave and her response. I can't imagine how she is going to defend herself. I would still try to report her to Ebay anyway you can even though you might not be protected.

After being offered other work arounds and a chance to call her (from two states away, yuck) I stood my ground and asked for a refund and I received it. So I guess case closed. It really bothered me because she asked me what ponies I received (!!!) and she was confused about details of the auction, so I would chalk it up to the seller being incredibly flaky, and not think she meant to do this maliciously.

It still doesn't excuse the fact she was incredibly flaky, difficult to communicate with, and really deceitful.

Even though she was pleasant to communicate with AFTER opening the case, and such, I left negative feedback.

"Unreliable, uncommunicative. Won't buy from again." Which I think sums up my experience in 80 characters or less. Anyway, thank you so much for all of your help and comments and I guess at least I have a consolation Posey to show for this entire ordeal.

Happy you got your money back oak! I still don't think she came out looking very good after all this. You deserve the posey for all the stress she put you through. I agree with the negative too! I hope she never tries this again.

Wow I would have left far worse feedback, pointing out that she's a liar and takes advantage of sellers. She purposely sent you only Posey because she thought she could get away with it, since it was your initial suggestion. At least she has a negative to alert people!

another ebayer to add to the list... when someone said aussie seller and repeated the name, something tweaked and I think I had this on my watch list, super glad I didn't end up bidding! Sorry to hear you had so much trouble, but glad to know it's resolved. There's one victory for the element of honesty..!
