Christmas is coming early!

I have been fortunate enough to get acquainted with a couple of other collectors recently and of course chat about which ponies we have etc etc. Which got me thinking about my ponies.  I have been all over the place the past few years and the ponies have all been packed up in storage in the attic. I have a few I *think* I have sold but really...I'm not sure! The number I have is around 500 to 700, so there's a big margin of error I'm working with. In 4 weeks I'll be returning to my home and not only do I have a whole house to get set up but several sets of pony shelves are to be filled again. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the girls and boys once more - I was trying to recall which Starshine variations I had and I got all confuddled  , let alone all the other Nirvanas and general pony-wonies 
So tell me about your 'Christmas times', when you dig out those ponies you haven't seen for ages.

My stuff wasn't packed for very long during my last move, but I was so excited to unpack it all and have way better displays to put it on. It's so fun to reacquaint yourself with all your little beauties!

I love going through my MIB G3s and finding ponies that I didn't even know I had.  I recently discovered that I have a MIB Pearly Pie, she is SO pretty!  I don't remember getting her at all!

That sounds exciting, I love going through old stuff! I haven't had any pony 'Christmases', but I did rediscover some of my Grand Champion stuff a few months ago. I knew I had the western barn, but I also found all the backcards stashed away with it as well which was a nice surprise. I thought I had thrown them all away.

For a while I was afraid I HAD actually gotten rid of my childhood ponies...because I had gone through (I thought) all the tubs out i the garage (I was in an apartment complex at the time)...but there was ooooone more that I had missed, way back in the corner.  They were all there.  C:

I had some ponies up in the attic and got them down several years ago. To my surprise there was a Diamond Dreams up there that I don't even remember getting I figure I must have gotten her from the thrift store and not liked her that much and stuffed her up in the attic. Now I LOVE her and all the Merry Go Round ponies

oh so my big surprises... finding a extra pony from a lot which happened to be mint nurse loveheart
Finding out my heartthrob was actually an italian (really I had no idea until I washed her one day)
Buying a lot of 'common' core 7 g3s for $10 only to find the were inspirational word ones... I had always wanted them
Serouisly I remember all those days as if it was christmas

Oh that sounds so much fun! Especially if you discover ponies you forgot you had!

I havent had this with ponies but I have boxes and boxes of accessories to sort and I am so excited about when I get the time to do that!
