I did that once with a pack of Skylanders. Bought it on eBay for £40, then it was in the shop for £20! Wait it out! It'll save you tonnes!

Wait it out! That's what I'm doing. I'm dying to get my hands on Star Dreams, but don't want to pay those ridiculous ebay prices! We'll just wait a bit longer and see :)

Is this the sweet slumbers set?
http://lekmer.se/leksaker/figurer-och-miniatyrer/my-little-pony/my-little-pony-story-pack-sleepover

I can order that for you if you like, but the price is $25 and might actually be close to $40 by the time you add on shipping..

If you can get someone in Australia to order this
http://shop.target.com.au/my-little-pony-sweet-slumbers-with-applejack-star-dreams
http://shop.target.com.au/my-little-pony-afternoon-picnic-with-cheerilee

for you, they're $7 at the moment (sale ends on the 18th, I believe). Shipping to the US would be about $24-30 for both together.

ETA: I just realised that the Sweet Slumbers set is lay-by only.

Oh no!  :whoa: dxgirly, you said this sort of thing about Monster High too. I think that you might make it hard for yourself if you try to complete every set! I know this isn't what you have, but I used to have a problem where - an offshoot of my depression  - I compulsively bought items. I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about the item until I bought it and then I'd really regret it! I know you are a perfectionist instead, but I find that less is more for me when it comes to collecting. It's sort of like...a really good dessert. I find that if I go to a really nice restaurant, and the dessert is perfect, it is very small, so after the last bite I'm still wistful for more, but that makes the small portion I had all the more memorable. That's why I pick favourites and get only a few items. I really get a chance to enjoy those ones. This is my own personal way of course.  :lookround: But I get distressed if it's just a sea of collectibles and I can't attach significance to each one. I want every single one to be special! I'm getting poetic and long-winded now...

What I mean is, I've taught myself to wait at least 48 hours or more to think about something that I want. If I still want it after 48 hours, I consider my options and make sure I can afford the item, and that it is useful to me somehow. Of course, violating the rule now and then does happen sometimes  :lookround: but I am usually pretty strict about this!

I'm not sure if that will be helpful to you, but I think choosing favourites is a good way to go about it! You want to enjoy yourself and not feel stressed by your hobby.

I have a hard problem with that, too! I end up rushing to try to complete a set. But I am going to wait on the Sweet Dreams set at least because I heard it will be available in the US sometime or another.

It's interesting that you say this about your own depression and struggles with collecting, because I, myself, have been diagnosed bipolar, and I know that has a lot to do with my obsessive collecting. I'll try what you said about the 48 hours, though it's going to be hard....

And Hathorcat, I'm pm'd you back. :)
