I'm assured that shopkeepers aren't into limbs, anyway (well, I'd hope not..)

:lmao:  That's the best line.  I like it!  I think it's concise, accurate, and fun to read.  C:

Yay! Both your articles are excellent, and I've linked two of my non-Arena pony friends to the pony article so they can see it too ^_^ Hyenacub got it totally right, your writing is intelligent and enjoyable to read. Everything also flows really well, the order of pictures, quotes and commentary is excellent.
I'm glad I could help, you're very welcome for my input :]

Do you collect any other 80s toys? If so, what do you collect? I do, I also collect Were Bears, which are teddy bears whose faces and paws can be flipped over to reveal fangs and claws. They came with a cassette tape.

What started this collection off?
There were originally four versions. My grandfather gifted me one when I was little and gave another one to each of my female cousins. I took my Were Bear to every teddy bear picnic, along with my Teddy Ruxspin. A couple of years ago I discovered that a talking Were Bear was released, as well as a few Were Bear enemies, and some knock-offs (Mattel I think.) My boyfriend has the original four bears and the howling Wear Bear. I got interested in tracking down the Terror Teds (Were Bear enemies) and the Mattel Beastie Bears. By a fluke I managed to get two limited edition boxed Were Bears that light up and howl. They prompted me to get a howling Were Bear when a working one came up at a reasonable price. I'm still intending to track down the other two limited editions but they are very rare. You can see what the first four Wear Bears, the Terror Teds and the first howling Wear Bear look like here: http://www.werebears.com/History/history_a.htm

What is the most you've ever paid for any toy (including MLP)?
I only paid about £40 each for the light-up Were Bears, but I think that's because they're so rare and aren't immediately recognisable as a distinctly different version of the original toys. I've seen damaged Terror Teds go for nearly double whilst the light up bears I got resemble the rumoured 'prototypes', so I'm not sure of their proper value. I think my most expensive ponies were also about £40, but I've been prepared to bid much higher for some ponies and for the light up bears. If Living Dead Dolls count as toys then I think my most expensive was around £80 or £90. I've got a Mad Hatter variant and a Resurrection Kitty, and they can go for quite a bit of money. My Blue Eggzorcist was also kinda expensive but she came from overseas and got slapped with about £20 of customs and Royal Mail fines (not that it mattered that the parcel was so manhandled it was open and her accessories had been lost...) I think those are all of my expensive toys (unless I include my laptop, but I don't think that counts). When I'm having a rough time I like to get a LOT of parcels at once rather than spending all of my pony budget on just one pony. I say 'budget'. If things get stressful I've been known to scrimp on essentials so I can spend most of my income on ponies (and sometimes clothing, dolls, comics and Puppy in my Pockets, but mostly ponies). Whereas I think I only bought Glory, Thundercloud and an upgrade of TE Speedy last month. I think I bought Tux and a lot of 5 ponies the month before. This month I've probably bought about ten ponies, but that's because I'm treating myself for graduating soon. It's kind of strange thinking about how my toy money is so strongly related to what's going on in my life. I wonder if anyone else feels the same?
