She looks awesome. I'm so happy that you managed to rescue such a sad looking pony, too. I wonder what happened in her past life to leave her in that state. At least now she can put it behind her!

Just kidding she's MUCH better now!

Did / How did you rehair the tail without taking her apart??

Wow! That is amazing! I can't believe it's the same pony!! I love seeing before and after pictures. You must get a lot of satisfaction from seeing the transformation! Great job!

I lucked out on the tail actually! It was retracted and when I tested her mechanism it worked and the rest of her tail was there!  I decided to leave it be. When I pulled her head off the bead and mechanism all stayed in tact.  I really think the glue had deteriorated so that she came apart really easy.  Once I put her head back in place (using epoxy to secure it) the mechanism was still functioning.

She's gorgeous, you did a beautiful job! I've been thinking of pearlizing a pony and this just makes me want to do it more :P
