Unicorns of Balinor! Oh my gosh! I didn't think anyone else liked these books! They were my favorites when I was like 13 years old and I admit that I still like them. They are very cheesy and are a bit of a typical Girl and her Horse type books at their core but they do a decent job building the world and adding a bit more of a plot. It goes a bit beyond the "Bonding with a horse will solve all of her life problems" As a bonus they are super easy reads. If you love cheese and don't mind a few cliches they're really fun!

As an update I've started reading the second book and I'm really enjoying the series so far.  I Had to order book 5 and book 8 on amazon.  The part I'm dreading is when I finish the last book a cliffhanger, but that's not going to stop me from enjoying the books.

So, I finished the last book last night.  I really loved this series and I could pretty much tell that by the wording of the last book on the last page that she didn't plan on making more books. I think she thought the wording would be a good way to end the series.  I really wish they didn't drag it out so much and we could have had a story about Ari rescuing her parents and brothers.  I mean, after she regained the throne the entire point was to rescue her family.  I also didn't like how the author had to reintroduce some of the characters at the beginning of each book like this was the first book they read.  In my opinion it was a waste of page space when she could have written something else.

I am glad Lincoln was turned back into a dog and was sort of bummed out that his true form was a toad-like creature.  I wish the author had continued her contract to make more stories to officially end the storyline.
