Buying online from Build-a-Bear

So Build-a-Bear is running that 2 for $35 sale until the 21st, and many Ponies are included! But since Shining Armor isn't, that means if I want to use the sale to finally get Zecora, I have to either pick a character I don't like very much as the second one (Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie) or get one that I already have in a pretty good size, albeit non-BAB (Celestia or Cadance). All in all, a rather difficult decision, made all the harder by the fact that I worry over them selecting my plushies for me.

So, those who have had to order online from BAB, what are your experiences, especially with winged Ponies? Do you end up being sent one with horribly bent wings, or do they actually get it right?

All of mine have arrived fine! I just ask for them to be firmly stuffed to make sure they don't tip over.

I have always ordered mine unstuffed and they pack them just fine.

If they arrive unstuffed can you go stuff them at a store BAB?

You're supposed to be able to.... For me, I never know when I'll be able to get up there, so I'm not sure I'd want to order unstuffed.

I ordered Princess Twilight stuffed and she was shipped in a take home box. Her wings were a little bent.  I probably should have said not to ship her in take home box but it was only my 2nd order from Build a Bear.

Yes, if you order unstuffed you can take them to the store to have them stuffed. Never had a problem. You also get a receipt in the box, so bring that if you're nervous.

Yikes. Yeah, that was another thing I wondered about, how they're shipped, since I've heard people say they're sent in those take-home boxes. Was yours not in anything else? It seems like that would be so exposed to the elements....

Mine was shipped in a take home box inside a regular brown shipping box. I think the ponies are a little too big to fit in the take home box, but there is a special instructions section when you can request that your BAB animal not be sent in one.    Here's a picture of my Princess Twilight. The wings have cardboard in them to make them stand up.

That's good that they use a shipping box as well, but yeah, they're definitely too big for the take-home box, especially on a several days journey!

I noticed that it seemed like the older Ponies, such as Twilight and Fluttershy, have wings that stand up better than Luna's.
