Oh my goodness!  They are so cute!  My daughter is going to squee so loudly when I show her those pictures!  I love slugs and spend quite a bit of time on rainy days getting them out of the street.  Now that I know they can be kept as pets, I'm sure she'll be asking for one too!

We had this one type of slugs called ariolimax columbianus (also called a banana slug, although there are three kinds of these) that I loved to find in Washington state!  They were just so huge!  I was told that they were endangered though, so I never tried to keep one.

Be careful that you research your slug if you pull them from your yard though. Some slugs eat other slugs and snails. We have some slugs and snails around here that are some of the most adorable slugs and snails ever but they eat other slugs and snails so I can't keep them.

I have a terrible phobia of slugs (silly, isn't it?) but these babies are cute!

Me too! They make me want to barf, and I live in Oregon where there are TONS. The babies are cuter than I expected though.
