Um, what do you do with them? Are they pets?
I have aquatic snails as pets. I used to have several species but only one is still alive :(

Oh man this makes me miss the slug I used to have! Same kind, too. One day he just stopped moving around at all and wouldn't eat, I thought he was dead but if I took him out of the cage he'd crawl around... So I decided to let him go. I've never seen another one, they aren't very common where I live :( I wish I would find more...

Um.. Those little antennae do kind of make them cute, I guess.

(The honest truth. The "I guess" is in quotations because I'm not ready to accept the fact that I actually find them cute.  :yikes: )

I honestly hope that wasn't rude... I wish you the best of luck in caring for them. I know I couldn't. xD

LOL I have no idea what I' going to do with them! Their mother is my pet..... I saved him from our yard (my MIL kills the slugs and snails in the yard so they don't eat her plants). I was not expecting a family. They just kinda happened. So now I guess I have a whole pile of pet slugs. They won't reach sexual maturity for a couple years so by then I should know how many slug cages I need to have acquired before getting over populated. It does make me a bit sad though as it means Loki is over 2 years old and won't likely be around terribly much longer.

Awww, they are adorable!   Congrats on your babies.

I had slugs for awhile, I forget what kind they were but they were large and orange in color.  They make surprisingly cute pets  ^.^
Thanks to Shimmlight for the new avatar image

They are actually rather easy. You keep them good and humid (lots of misting and keepers with few holes so the water doesn't evaporate out a damp paper towel on the bottom helps, too) and feed them..... Well whatever it is your species eats. Mine eat plant matter and mushrooms. Loki loves strawberries best. Magnus' favorite by far is mushrooms. The babies did seem to prefer carrots, but this last feeding, they preferred the mushroom. They all get several veggies/fruits/mushrooms each feeding though so they have a bit of variety. Oh and snails and some slugs will need a piece of chalk. Mine don't seem interested. The chalk has nutrients they need to build their shells or mantels. Slugs also like to have a hiding place.
