does any of you remember Sophina, my very first Moxie Girlz doll whom I bought in 2012?

to anyone who might wonder what happened to her... well, she is eventually 3 years older now, and has grown up
I wasn't fully happy about her condition back when I bought her, and next year during a summer vacation I found another Sophina at a flea market, and the latter became "the' Sophina in my Moxie Girlz dolly bunch. however, my first girl has also stayed with me ever since - except she was pretty poorly treated: she was stored away, and even put up for sale. however, noone bought her.

sometime later I saw some pics of Moxie-Liv hybrids, and it inspired me to create little sisters to my Moxie Teenz this way (I originally also wanted to integrate them to my Moxie Teenz crew, but upon her arrival realised they are too out of scale), so I have bought a bunch of nude Liv dolls from SunnieBunny back in the summer of 2014. I have finally got to go on with the project yesterday, and when I gathered my dolls to decide who should be swapped with whom my first Sophina doll got in my hands, and I realised she will be the perfect candidate. even though we didn't bond as much as I wanted us to she still had a special place, so I thought she deserves some more attention, and a new life (or, well, at least a new body ^^ ) - possibly this will be the key to bonding!
so after 3 years, meet Sophina:

her hair is still a mess :S I'll have to do something about that, and I also plan to restyle it into a pulled back style. I believe she will be the little sister of Melrose: to my surprise they are the closest match in skin tone.

I haven't yet figured out her age (if I consider Melrose to be approx. 175-180 cms tall Sophina is a little taller than 150 cms), and she will possibly also get a new name - do you have any suggestions?

sadly I do not have any Liv shoes, so she's lounging around barefoot. Melrose has joined in the game and took off her shoes so that Sophina doesn't feel too embarrassed about her lack of shoes. now to find a couple of pairs for her - and also for the future little sisters to come. I know I'd like to frankendollify an Avery as well, and also a Lexa and possibly a Bryten.
does anyone have a pair of Liv shoes for sale (or several? )?

I really like her by now. yesterday, right after the body swap she seemed so strange, suddenly her head seemed tiny but a day later it doesn't annoy me at all - I really love her!

LOL Cute!!!! I can't help you out with shoes, but I think they look sweet hangin' out together barefoot. With the darker complexions they could be total beach-rats!

I originally planned her to be the little sister of my Mia (Moxie Teenz Arizona), but to my surprise Sophina is quite a bit lighter-skinned than her, and a much closer match to Melrose (if not a teeny bit lighter than her, even) I have always thought Melrose is the "regular natural skin tone blonde girl with blue eyes" from the line. it turns out she is either not, or it is the Moxie Girlz who are very pale in general (Sophina is the mid-dark skinned girl in that line). I might still decide to make her the little sister of Mia instead, I haven't yet fully decided

yeah no worries about becoming red as a lobster in 10 minutes of being out in the sun (like me ) there! now to get Sophina some swimwear - I have the beach fashion pack for Melrose, but I don't think I have any  swimwear even close to Liv size. I *might* have had some Barbie swimwear *somewhere* (runs away to dig through dolly clothes )

I ran into this problem recently too with a bunch of shoes Hannah and I got from a Craigslist lot, are there any that would be a match if not for color? You could always paint the outsides to make a match that way if there were.

no, unfortunately not :S if they were matching in style I'd totally make the girl wear them mismatched (when I was a teen I always wanted mismatched Martens boots, but they were too expensive to buy two pairs at once ) but they are all completely different. the only one that matches another one matches exactly the golden pair's mold, so there would be no use matching those up. too bad you're also having a problem with single shoes

now that this discussion came up, it reminded me a thread a member made here in the DH awhile ago (tried to hunt it down but failed :/ ), asking about whether shoe matching communities existed. now I also wish they did...

I know that thread, Hannah is the one who made it. I really wish there was something like that where people could trade unmatched shoes for matches to other shoes but it would probably be a lot of work to created and moderate something like that.
I've moved on to trying to make shoes now, made a cute pair of heels for Hannah's Bratzilla since she only had one shoe.
(she was from the same Craigslist lot as all the mismatched shoes) xD

yeah, I also wish a site like that existed :S actually I don't think it would require much to moderate it, I think advertising its existence up to a point where people would actually start using it would be more difficult and time-consuming. but I also wouldn't be surprised if such a site didn't exist yet only because there are so many types of shoes around that people simply think there's not much chance in them finding just the exact pair for their half, and thus noone has made one yet.

I also have a Lexa whom I'm going to rebody, and also some Averies, though that girl makes it really hard for me to choose the one dolly head to use... what is going on with Avery? all the other girls seem to have much better hair, but hers is stiff and frizzy, just like some cheapo party wig so I will remain on the lookout for the perfect Avery - and also a Kellan whom I'd also like to frankendollify someday. too bad she seems to be elusive here

for now Bryten isn't related to any of my Moxie Teenz, she's just a friend of Sophina. Lexa will probably become the little sister of Tristen once she'll be ready I have recently found another Sophina who is so very different and it makes me want to possibly rebody her too. eh, there goes the "I want this part of my collection to be small" part
