When I heard that Mattel lost Disney's contract, I thought that EAH was Mattel's way of "getting back" at Disney.

Now I can see how bad the burn is.  Hasbro/Disney look like copycats now XD

I think Disney was inspired by the whole MH "sons and daughters of such and such" thing and the huge popularity of their Once Upon a Time series so they mashed em up.

Hold on, Jafar has a son...? Wasn't he killed off, as shown in the Aladdin TV series when he teamed up with Hades? x_x

Eh, I guess Disney don't really pay attention to their brands in that way anymore.

Hmmm maybe he eas actually acting!? Like a movie within a movie? :P ive always wondered that in House of Mouse how Ursula, Jafar, and Scar were logically there but its Disney so they can break the rules LOL.

I feel like these dolls are dressed more like kids in the modern world, whereas the EAH kids are definitely in a fairy-tale world. So even though some of the storylines seem really ripped-off, I feel like they would appeal to different kids/collectors. I may get Evie. I think she'd make a great Lizzie Hearts too XD

Also, how does this add up?

Wow, the dolls are really beautiful but my question is why the heck can't they do this kind of quality on the Equestria Girls?

I will probably buy the dolls IF they look this good in person, but it would really be awesome IF they could put this look to the EG's :/
Probably doesn't own a stolen piece of the Taj Mahal.

Oh man- why indeed?  I guess they are trying to keep production costs down?

I wonder how much these new dolls will cost?  They can't cost much more than $19-22 or they will not be competitive.

LOL. Sorry (sort of ;) ) At least in EAH they are from their own legends. The Disney characters are SUPPOSED TO BE FROM THE DISNEY CHARACTERS. They already set their own precedent. I am all for making the characters more diverse but this feels really patronizing. Maybe the movie will explain that they adopted her or something. I am a little bitter because Aurora and Phillip are my faves.

I agree that if EG had put ANY amount of quality in the dolls that I'd be interested. I only have Luna and Rarity for my armies because... armies. Sometime I want to make customs out of MH dolls. EG dolls will always look sooooo dollar-store-fakie to me.
