Decided to stop by an antique mall on my way home from work today, and found a few G1! They're all new to me except for Baby Bows, who I have somewhere with the rest of my childhood herd. I couldn't just leave her there all by herself, though! I figure I can always eventually trade or sell doubles.
Anyway! The ponies I got are Shady, Princess Sunbeam, Baby Bows, and Baby Apple Delight! I've never seen one of the Loving Family ponies "in the wild" before - she's so cute!

loginI'm thinking at least the baby ponies may have had the same childhood owner, what with them both having their forelocks receive an unfortunate buzz cut...they might both end up with a rehair, but we'll see. That won't be for quite a while at least. Shady's flocking looks pretty grimy in places and is completely worn off in some spots, so she might need a deflocking, but again...we'll see. I don't know how to do either of those things for myself, and would hesitate to try them for the first time on G1s, lol. I'd probably send them to more "seasoned" restorers here.
On a lighter note, though, check out Princess Sunbeam's royal pompadour! I'm trying not to think about what a pain that mass of tinsel will be to try and tame when I get around to pony spa time ><
