I may be jumping the gun, but wanted to have the information before anything gets complicated.
* Bough a lot of Lady Lovely Locks dolls on eBay
* Paid for Priority Mail (which as we know includes $50 of insurance coverage)
* Dolls arrive today
* Seller shipped via First Class Mail & not the Priority Mail option I paid for
* Lady's Lovely Lock's neck was broken during shipment
* Requested partial refund of $8 by messaging seller directly (paid $25.80 for three dolls, their accessories, and shipping - comes out to $8.60 per doll)
This is where my question comes in:
Under eBay's Money Back Guarantee, it states that if the item is broken, I must return it to the seller and I don't have to pay for return shipping. So I would have to return the entire lot. That's fine...
...but it also says that the seller has to offer returns.
Listing states that seller does not offer returns.
Am I still protected?
Edit: Duh! This is why I shouldn't stay up so late. It blatantly states this on the listing:
"Seller does not offer returns. You are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee if you received an item that is not as described in the listing."
So, yeah, it covers broken items...right?
Edit #2: LOL, okay, I think I should just request this to be deleted. Yes, it covers broken items...and the seller is going to be debited $3 for the return shipping costs.
All is well with the world. If the seller doesn't want to do the partial refund, it's all going back
