Hi all!  I was able to find a fair conditioned FSF "Cleo".  She's from the Royal Beauties line as far as I can tell, though she has no accessories.

She needs a bit of work, but I *think* she's one of the more HTF girls...?  She has pretty bad paint chips and scuffs on the edges of all hooves, tips of ears, around her eyes, etc.  And she has stray marks all over her body.  Her mane and tail are straight, with no frizziness, but a small tuft of hair between her ears has been cut down to about 1 cm.

Please note, this is pre-clean up. :)  Haven't washed her at all yet!

So question time.  ^-^

What is the best, safest way to clean her body?  Normally I use acetone, but I'm sure that's not a safe option here.  How do I get the marks off her body without removing her paint?  Do I need to recurl her hair, or should a thorough conditioning be sufficient?

Is there any interest in her, even though she's got some flaws?  If so, what would a rough approx. value be on her?  I'm thinking of sticking her up on ebay in an auction and let it run.  Perhaps that would be best?

Thanks so much for reading!

I think if you are unsure how to clean her, I'd leave her be and let her new owner do it since you are planning to sell her anyway. As for value I have no clue but I can give this a bump.

For cleaning I use a magic eraser and dry with a cloth. I condition like I would a pony but just don't submerse them or run the under the water (except the hair)

Magic eraser will rub the paint off a little, especially if you scrub.  And fingernail polish remover will definitely remove the paint.

In great condition and complete with accessories, yeah, I'd say she goes for about $150.  With flaws and no accessories, a lot less, maybe $20 up to about $30.
Nirvana grails:  Reverse Gusty (upgrade), Peru Windy and Moonstone (upgrade), Brazil TAF upgrades, Argie Powder w/ white hair (upgrade), French Windy and Moondancer (upgrades), Spain TAF's, TE's, and piggies.  These are my biggest wants, but I'm looking for tons more nirvanas, especially Greeks, Brazilians, and Peruvians.  Feel free to PM me for sales or trades.  But please note that I'm also fairly picky.

thank you for your help ladies!  I will probably try a magic eraser on her and see - really it can't do that much more damage to her.  I think she will clean up lovely, and if someone is skilled at a touch up painting, she would be wonderful.  ^_^

I won't get to working on her for a while, want to wait until the baby's here and settled.  But I'll try and post "after" pictures once she's done.

Don't use a magic eraser, it will take the paint off.  I'd go with toothbrush and tooth paste, but be gentle.
