I hope that people realize it's more for your love of collecting, not resale! Seriously, how many of those people do you think were there just to flip it for profit? I'm not saying everyone, but still.
Welovefine has no clue what limited edition means to collectors
I agree with everything you you just said. The problem I had with them is that I am a collector and I know the toy collecting world well enough to know what limited edition is supposed to mean across different fandoms. So if any company pulls something like this they are doing something wrong. I don't care that they don't care about collectors. I just want them to be honest and use terminology the right way. I would have bought a $20 figure even if it wasn't limited, but I wouldn't have travelled and spent extra for it. Even if they didn't mean to mislead people, they did. I'm hoping they learn from complains how to use terminology correctly.
(c'mon, guys, no stuffed animal is worth $1,000+. >:I )
Whether you are a brony or a collector or something in between or neither...its still a cheeky way to go about flipping product. Yes its commercialism and WLF really dont care but I dont think it matters who their target market was, it is a little abusive.

While you or I might not be willing to pay that much for a custom plush, some people are.
