Serious congratulations!
I am totally addicted to kindle books- generally I rely very heavily on reviews by other people before buying an unknown author- I bet others do to.
Did you have friends or people who helped you with editing/content? Could they post reviews for you on amazon ?
Unfortunately not. I did the editing and research on my own. It was all a singular project. =] I've been trying to pass the book around to friends so they would read it (plus hey, free book, though it's more like a stack of paper), but time is precious, and they haven't had a chance.
The "Look Inside" beginning snippet reads very well. I think I'll get it as soon as I have some extra reading time. 
Thank you so much! I was trying to hook readers from the get-go, and when my mom first stumbled across it on the family computer (years ago) she thought it was a download from someone else, and not my own writing.
Either way, I just love getting to write, and I am hoping to get another book up there as soon as I get the ending tweaked to my liking. I've rushed it a bit too much it seems.
