Finally a Teeny Tiny to call my own...

So, I collect ponies pretty casually- the money situation isn't great so I'm generally limited to what I come across at flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores, and after a strong start earlier in the year, G1 ponies (and '80s toys in general) seemed to dry up after a while. That looked like the case last Saturday when I went into a Savers I usually don't get to, but then I noticed a misplaced bag of girl toys that looked like it had a Mattel Little Pretty in it- and at the bottom was a Teeny Tiny pony! I've always wanted one- they're adorable and I'm happy to now say I have an example of the smallest G1 brushables (the pony in question is Little Giggles, by the way- her hair is currently drying.)

The rest of the bag was pretty good, too- the Little Pretty turned out to actually be a Lady LovelyLocks toy, Silky Pup (Little Pretties were basically just repackaged LLL animals) and a third toy was a Tyco Secret Wish Horse with the top of the saddle intact (through the "key" is missing.) Not bad for $4!

Yay, that's great! I had a Little Giggles as a child (then I lost her . . . but recently my mom and sister bought another for me, so I was happy!)

Thanks! I've been trying to get a picture of her- display space is limited at the moment, but she looks adorable poking out from behind Steamer, since I wanted my largest and smallest ponies next to each other- I just can't get my camera/computer to work together right now.

I love your idea of having the smallest and largest ponies next to each other. Little Giggles must look so cute next to Steamer! I must admit I never tried placing my Teenies next to my boys *pushes "Post" and sneaks over to the other room to try it*

It's actually my goal to eventually have at least one of every pony size.  The only ones I need now are a Sweetheart Sister and a First Tooth Pony. I'm glad I was able to find the two extremes through my casual collecting, though- I really have to get a picture up, she's so small compared to Steamer she can almost hide under him!

And yes, the Secret Wish Horse (Starquest) was a nice bonus- I wasn't sure what she was, at first, but I had fun ID'ing her (and also managed to ID a Grand Champion foal I'd reluctantly put in my "to donate" pile because I didn't know what he was, either.)
