Hum I didn't know they came out that late. For some reason my mind was thinking the 90s.

I still have the pink and green cup things. I have no ideal what happen to the dolls.

hhhhmmmmmm maybe? but i doubt it it ... charmed was towards the end of its run and wasn't near as popular as it was when it started in 98 ... and really wasn't aimed at the barbie demographic ... was a bit violent and scary for barbie play fans ... and if they were aiming at the older fans they would have done collector dolls not bright colorful cheaper dolls meant for play ...

harry potter was  bigger factor i think ... secret spells was aimed at the barbie play age and riding the coat tails of the second HP movie and the fifth HP book if i remember right lol i remember a lot more HP fan girls asking about them (after they were off the shelves already) than the Charmed fanbase ... but magic in general was huge because of HP's popularity (HP published in june of 97, charmed first aired in october of 98) sabrina the teenage witch was done, ut showing in syndication at that point ... wasn't ever crazy popular like either HP or Charmed though ...

she was in TRU as well, i stocked her on the shelves. mattel wouldn't have had a commercial for them *points to her post above with link to youtubed commercial* if it was a 'small accounts' kind of line either ... it was to try and cash in on the harry potter craze going on during the books/movies in like 2003ish

but drinking the 'potion' and the witchcraft thing created an uproar and many stores didn't get the line or only got a few cases and collectors scooped them up ... and mattel stopped production post haste ......... and now they make monster high lmao
