I survived!!  The chooks are sodden and up to their drum sticks in mud after the rainfall but they are all there.

Sadly 4 people died due to weather related accidents.  Many tree's and power lines were blown down especially in the south easterly parts (Sussex, Kent area's) and many people were without power for a while.  But on the whole, it wasn't too bad.  I hope all my pony friends here were ok

My heart goes out to the families of those who died, all but one due to falling trees. I'm really surprised at the deaths and I hate to think what it's be like if we ever had a real storm. I think a lot of these trees in urban areas in particular wouldn't stand up to much wind as their roots are so undermined and they have no buffer of other trees.

It seems as though weather people often up the hype, but I
like to think they are just playing it safe. Coming from central Oklahoma and having my house hit by part of the May 20th tornado this year, I wish they were slightly less "enthusiastic" about less dangerous storms. Here they started calling things like Quakeanado, Snowmaggedon, and Snowpocalypse. Taking things out of proportion makes us less likely to take them seriously later.
All that being said, I'm glad you guys are okay.
