What natural disasters do you live with?

I think we just get fires around here in CO. We really don't get many blizzards, either, at least.

aaahhh, tornadoes and fires if lightning hits ..oh and drought yeah thats a natural disaster especially for a farmer and farming community

well we really do not have anything where I am , maybe a tiny eathquake once in 100 years and some flooding once in a great while.

I'm very blessed to live in an area that hardly gets anything worse than minor flooding. Once in a great while we get tornado warnings, but there never actually is a tornado. I think it was two summers ago that we had a tiny earthquake, but no damage was done.

Wow, there was an earthquake? I never even heard about it. (I'm from Pittsburgh!)

But, yeah, Pennsylvania is great spot when it comes to natural disasters.

There was a 5.6 magnitude quake back in 2011 I believe where it originated in Washington D.C but was felt as far away as Illinois.

Used to be hurricanes and blizzards when I still lived in Maryland, with the very rare tornado. I've actually started missing hurricanes sinces moving to California.

I always feel fascinated so many people live in areas with stuff like earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes etc! Quite shocking actually o_0
I live in the south of England and the weather is *extremely* mild. My house has had minor flooding from heavy rainfall combined with us living in a low valley area (was about 3 inches deep? sandbagged it off succesfully) and, if it snows, and actually settles, (which happens about about 5 days in a year, my area) people just LOSE THEIR MINDS!

Let's see... where I grew up, we had tornadoes, and rare flash floods, but that was about it. Where I live now, there's an earthquake risk (we actually had one about 12 years ago), and some volcanic activity. Also risk of flooding in the lower areas of the city, but I live in a higher spot.
