Princess Twilight Line Is Hitting my Toys R Us now

Giant princess talking Twilight was at my Target too, last week.  I was. . .  Um, not impressed.

I didn't want the large twilight either but seeing her in person changed my mind... I just don't have the money.. Hubby sais he may grab it for an anniversary gift.. :-/ but I'm thinking quadruple bout her.

That Twilight is one of the creepiest pony toys I've seen.  I was playing with it at Target the other night.  She was saying very un-Twilight things.

When I was a kid, I had to close the eyes of my Teddy Ruxpin & Gubby toys because I thought they would come to life at night & steal my soul.  This Twilight makes me feel this way too...

I'm not a big fan of the giant talking ponies, so I'll be passing. I kind of want Nightmare Moon, though. I'm anxiously waiting for her to hit my TRU.

I still need to get BAB Pinkie and Twilight.

I saw her at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago for $50 (TRU is always more expensive than everywhere else). Of course, being a Twilight fan, I want her as soon as realistically possible. I for one think $50 is a price that does make sense (though TRU's $60 sure doesn't). She's much larger than the talking Celestia, Cadance, and Nightmare Moon, and also her head moves and her eyes blink. I saw a pretty good review of her on YouTube:

Sadly, since my family lives paycheck to paycheck, I won't be able to get her anytime soon, but when I'm able too, I definitely will.

I think she's really creepy looking and ugly. She definitely won't be coming home with me!

I actually really like Princess Twilight, I think she's lovely. The glitter around her horn and her pretty eyes and her sparkly wings and her long, elegant legs make her so pretty! I think it's okay to have a bit of deviation from show-accuracy for a specialty toy like this one. Save show accuracy for the regular toys.

I understand for con exclusives, but I'm actually surprised they're mass selling a talking one for that much- your average parents probably won't want to spend $50 for a kid that's just going to slam it around and break it within a week.

She has been around for a few weeks now. When a manufacturer says "by September" that usually means every store should be able to stock her [if they wish] by then. Unless their is a preventative street date, items will be shipped much earlier and stocked earlier in order to ensure that they are in stock by the "by" date.

I am not a fan - she is not one I would pick up and add to my collection. But, that being said, I think she is perfect for their target market. A big giant talking toy which they can charge $50-60 for? In the run up to Christmas? Called "Princess"? Yes she is exactly what it makes sense for Hasbro to sell.
