DISCLAIMER: I have not tried this on a pony! However, when I do decoden and even some cosplay stuff my favorite adhesive is E6000. It's an epoxie base and will hold nearly anything together, but takes a few hours to dry. It's thick, too, so using a toothpick or something to apply it gives a lot of control. Dunno if anyone else has tried it, but you may want to test it on something else first.
I use superglue generally, but I never put it directly from the tube onto the pony - not enough control. I squirt some out and use a toothpick to apply it.
E6000 stinks to high heaven and i would be really afraid it would melt the pony :CI use a model glue (that is way better than super or krazy glue) called Zap a Gap. I get the kind with the green label. It's used to put pewter miniatures together, along with a lot of other types of models. It has a super strong hold, but it doesn't melt the plastic.
