Sunset Shimmer also has the rounded head... I just pulled mine out and also looked at the stamp in between the mane rows.. and she is stamped with TS.... so that means Twilight also has the rounded head

Its a manufacturing thing - could be cheaper in production, could allow for a more stable mould or could even allow them to mould head/body better together and perhaps reduce the mismatch issues.

Ever since the first brushable Sunset Shimmer was out, (with the mask) every new brushable after that seems to have the new head mold, so I think it's safe to say Hasbro are sticking to it :/ (I personally much prefer the old one, but I guess it's not that big a difference)

If it's Mismatching with color you mean I can tell you my Sunset is still Mismatched in color xD She has the lighter body and darker head like my AJ from the Crystal Empire line...

To be honest, not sure how I feel about the chubbier heads since Sunset is the first actual G4 brushable I've bought in a while that isn't being customed...

That seems really weird... Twilight's eye shape looks so different from Sunset Shimmer's. Is there a Twilight with eyes shaped like Sunset Shimmer? Or is it just that Sunset Shimmer has an eye mould that doesn't match the printed eye?

Guess its probably just something which makes costing better or for basic production reasons. Wishful thinking on the head/body match
