A Small Brag <3

As some of you know, my grandmother passed away in November.  My mother went down about a month ago to help her sisters and brother clean out her house. She found me this beauty and I'm so proud to have it. Knowing that, at one point in time, my grandmother picked this out, touched it, held it... makes it all the more special to me.

And today, at the local flea market, I ran across a 1977 Thumkey/Monchhichi! The guy just let me have it, but it made my day! (I had two MIB Monchhichis from the 70s but donated them back when I was told I had too much stuff.)  This little guy is SUPER dirty. I'm going to scrub his face really good with a baby wipe, but not sure how to clean his fur. I was thinking putting him inside of a pillow case and then put on delicate cycle. But... my washer's delicate cycle isn't all that delicate.  And that IS his original bib! (He has one hand that has a thumb to go in his mouth and the other is a banana, hehe.)

Pretty unicorn! I felt the same when my grandmother passed. I picked up a small music box that she always had on her table. Means the world to me. 

And I had that multicolored unicorn as a kid!

ooh thats so niice! I have a little tiny ceramic Pegasus figure that my nana gave me when I was very little, and now that shes not here, its a nice memory of her.

also those gauges are neat! I swear all the cool dangle tapers are all 00 size xD my ears are 5/8" now so, too big for anything but neat tunnels and plugs xD

True: I always told my boyfriend I'd never go higher than 0s, because all my gauges were 0s. Went into this little stand at the flea market... saw those beauties. I just adore owls, so I had to have them and they were all sold out of 0s. I bough them, went back the next weekend, got the tapers to go up to 00s. What happened then? Funny you should ask. They found 0s with defects, the tails weren't on them. I was like WELL THANKS FOR LOOKING NOW, GUYS! I only asked you a week ago to check your stock, you never know. -.-  Told them I already gauged my ears, they won't take the tapers OR the 00s back... so.

Story: My second dad basically disowned me when he found out I gauged my ears. Of course, he disowned me every single time I got a new tattoo as well. And piercing. Haha.

And thats a shame you found the size later, but but because of health reasons it would be really bad if they accepted returns for opened jewelry.

All the jewelry is open anyway. They just take them out of the case, put them in a plastic baggie and give them to you. (I pour alcohol on mine if I'm actually going to use them.) I hadn't worn them, but yea. I understand where they come from. They gave me a discount for the tapers and I'll probably go pick up the other owls and those will be discounted as well since they're "defective". Lol.

@Everyone else: My mom brought home lots of things from my Memi's house. I got one of her jewelry sets and she had passed along a brass boot and sneaker to my son and my nephew. My Memi had a picture in her living room of a little girl getting kissed on the cheek by a little boy. I always told my mom that I wanted that picture, so badly. The one on her wall. My mom fought my aunts for it, got it... and then found like 4 copies of it in her basement. Haha. So, my mom has the original, my sister got a copy and I'll get a copy when she finds glass for the frame.
My Papi passed away in April (Memi's husband) he left me and my sister Hummels figurines. And pocket watches for my brother, who I think is giving it to my son.
