Mandatory Introduction, as requested
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:37:17 PM »
Hello everyone!  I'm new to the boards, and have joined in hopes to gain knowledge concerning restoration of G1 ponies.  I've been a collector since I received my first pony in 1985.  I collect only G1 and am currently in search of some of the ponies who have proven to be elusive to my herd.  Although my husband supports my collecting habits and built a round-the-room display shelf, I'm running out of space!  I'm reluctantly entertaining the thought of possibly re-homing some of my duplicate ponies.  I have already sold away my Show Stable, Pretty Parlor, Baby Bonnet School of Dance, Carry Case, and multiple Petite Pony residences years ago.  Now I regret that space saving decision.  Instead, I wish I had properly stored those items instead of practically giving them away. Oh well...  "Live and learn", they say.  Regardless, I hope everyone will be as congenial and courteous to me on the chat board, as I know they are in real life.   ^.^

Additionally, here are some pictures of my ponies, for those of you who are interested.  I can't seem to access any other forum topics - probably because my first post has not been approved yet.  However, I'm anxious to see what's for sale, what's wanted, info about swapping and fair and so forth.  I hope this will become available to my account soon.

It's a password protected album - password is (of course):    ponies

Welcome to the Arena

You should be able to post pics directly from your photo bucket by using the box below your posts.  I'm sorry to hear you sold part of your collection - I did something similar a few years back!

Everyone here is really nice so don't be shy to join in the conversations :)

Hi there, and nice to meet you! Nice collection! I love the little shelf unit you have for your petites. And I spy some Fairy Tail Birds in there! I love them and also collect those. :)

I also sold off all my MLP buildings and bigger MLP items (Dream Castle, Show Stable, Pretty Pony, SSN) for extremely cheap years ago because I didn't have the room. Sometimes I regret that as well, but what can ya do?

Anyway, welcome to the Arena! ^-^

Thank you for the welcomes!   :)  I didn't post the pictures directly because there's so many of them.  I just didn't want to clutter up the thread, I guess.  I'm way too organized for my own good!

Thanks, Teddy!  I found that shelf at a Goodwill for just a couple dollars.  My grandmother had one too.  She used it to display her ceramic thimble collection.  If you have thrift stores nearby, keep an eye out and you just might see one come through.   ;)  Buying one is way easier than making one.. but I bet that's always a possibility if you or someone you know is handy with woodwork.

Thanks Tiella and Diamond!  I'm looking for Big Brother 4-Speed (cancer free, hopefully - all the ones I've seen lately are completely blighted  :(  ), Mail order baby pearlized set, Cutesaurus, Oakly, Nectar the Panda (Pretty Pal), Munchy, TAF Yum Yum, Bonney Bonnets ...  I should focus on one set at a time.  I think I'll try for Twice as Fancy unless a better opportunity presents itself.  The holy grail for me (besides Rapunzel, obviously) is the Mommy and Baby mail order set unofficially named "Mother Love" and "Beachy Keen" .. although I have NO idea how much they actually sell for.

Welcome to the Arena! :bunny:

There are quite a few members here looking for a cancer-free 4-Speed. It certainly was not an easy one to obtain! :(

Someone here was recently selling a Mommy & Baby set, take a look at the For Sale section. :)
