I use dollyhair's tool and a pushpin to make plug holes bigger. Never tried anything else, and it works fine for me, so why fix what ain't broke.

Dollyhair's tool is just a pin vise, you're just paying 3 times the cost for it.

I use a rotary tool with a grinding bit (I have no clue what it's actually called) to shape tapestry needles.  I'm fussy and like very thin prongs, so this lets me get what I want.  I pre-poke my holes with unmodified needles in a hobby knife handle, because I don't want to damage my fbrs.

She is trying to say that you were wasting money. Must everything from you sound negative?

No...I was simply saying that I've had it awhile and it works fine for me so I have no reason to use another tool at the moment.

I use two tools both made by me.
On is just for widening, and the other is the rehair tool itself. I haven't had to change this needle for a while (probably because I haven't done much as far as customs lately >.>)

I also use Dollyhair's tool with a push pin. My needles break a lot, but I find it really easy to make my own replacement needles, so I never have to purchase new ones. :3

Im the same way, I break a needle "maybe" once a year xD. i think using a bigger needle to widen the holes before really saves on broken needles. :)

I have BarbedDragon's silver rehairing tool. It's great, easy to switch between poker and hairing needle.

Thanks so much Corona! I'm very glad you like your tool :) <3<3
