Info on "mystery" pony?

Yeah, you don't really see those dollar store G3s come up all that much. I think Sunrise is a gorgeous pony (despite her pose being...not one of my favorites). I hope to find her secondhand someday. =) Actually I think most of those ponies (it was Family Dollar, wasn't it?) are really pretty!

Okay I wanted to show you guys what my Sunrise is looking like. She looked much better in the plastic bag she shared with Minty I'm sad to say. Minty will become a bait, she's in really rough shape and her hair is a complete nest. Sunrise has pen marks and her hair isn't quite as bad as Minty so I will try my darndest to restore her! Haha never thought I'd be restoring a G3.

Dancing Phoenix...I actually saw those exact two ponies yesterday in New Hope so I am guessing you were at Unique Thrift. I passed them up because of the shape they were both in. Sunrise is one of my favorites. I hope you can fix her up

I was! Oh my goodness that is too funny. Though darn my "secret place" is not so secret anymore. I mostly go there to find baits for customizing when it comes to G3 (I'm mainly always looking for G1's), but when I saw Sunrise I thought she was too pretty and too 'mysterious' to bait. I do hope I can fix her, it would be such a shame if she was forever a rat's nest of hair.

Ohh, I see "played with" G3s like that all the time on German ebay and I always have to resist "saving" them. I love restoring beat-up ponies. It's nice to see before/after pictures.
Can't wait to see how she'll look like after you've tamed the mane and tail

Rhythm and Rhyme was my grail dollar/discount pony and I just won her (slightly flawed) on ebay (after a previous devastating loss on a mint one, I will never get over not winning that one). Now waiting to get my hands on Misty Blue my current list topper.

They may be fewer and farther between than standard G3s, but I wouldn't worry too much about losing out on the Rythm and Rhyme - Eventually you're sure to find them all in mint condition, and at a reasonable price. =)

I used to live in Plymouth but now that I am in Saint Paul it is quite a drive just to go to the thrift store so I check it out when I am in the area since I still love the New Hope YMCA for zumba on Sundays

LOL it's alright! I live in Plymouth, and it's the biggest thrift shop that I know of at all. I wish there were more like it!

And yeah I'll definitely take pictures once I get to work on her a bit. I was really sad to see some of the loose ponies with the price written directly on them. If I saw that on a mint looking pony I would be sooo sad.
