Hi! I'm new and was directed here by someone to try and find some good deals on ponies. I have 4 children (6 year old girl, 5 year old boy, 3 year old girl, 1 year old boy).  Between the two girls and I we're rather pony crazy around here!   

I still have my Gingerbread twinkle eye pony and two twin babies (who for the life of me I can't remember the names of right now) from my childhood.  My girls mostly play with their G4 ponies (probably because that's the show they're familiar with) but we also have a bunch of G3s that get some play.  They were given to us and i'm hoping to find some tricks to help out their horrible, matted, messy hair too.  I'm also on a quest to find all the ponies that my girls have on clothing.  (I'm a the owner/designer/sewer of a boutique upcycle children's clothing shop so they have a lot!  lol) 

I think that's about it for us!  Oh, and this is neither here nor there really, but we home school too.

As for fixing messy hair...you can try lots and lots of conditioner, and then maybe boiling the hair. Sometimes it helps, it just depends on how bad the hair is.

You can find lots to tips and tricks for restoreing older ponies in the customs forums. I usually give them a wash in dawn, then use ALOT of conditioner in their hair, and gently work the tangles out with a wide tooth comb while the conditioner is in it. then let them set for a good 5-10 min before washing out the conditioner. (if really bad this will be repeated till better) usually i do this once and am good.

If you've got a local shopko, I'd check their clearance rack for stuff in the girls section. Wal-mart has had some random stuff popping up every once and awhile and if you check the men's section at target there may still be a glory shirt or two left (sizes a bit bigger). Every once and awhile someone will have clothes for sale here... We've got some great users that I'm sure would make you something if you requested...
(I'm mainly selling those tlc cheap plastic ponies... lol.)
