I know it's not cool to put the emphasis on presents, but the year I got my first ever MLP (Cotton Candy) was totally the best christmas I have ever had. I wanted her so badly but ponies hit the shelves in my country and sold out within days.  I thought there was no way I was going to get my beloved pony for Christmas.

Checking through the presents under the tree on Christmas day, my worst fears were confirmed when there was nothing remotely pony shaped.  However, it turns out my wonderful mother had raced down to the toy store as the ponies were being unpacked and purchased CC for me.  She then disguised her by wrapping her in a puzzle box so I totally wouldn't guess!  Seriously, I was totally shocked when I opened that box and saw Cotton Candy.  Thanks mum for giving me the best Christmas ever :frolic:

I have 2 memories which stand out. The first was when I was 10, my mum bought me my own violin.  I had been playing for about 3 years on a hired one from school and she bought me my own!! I was so excited I didn't stop playing through the whole holiday season. Sadly she suddenly passed away the year after when I was 11 and I just couldn't play anymore, I didn't have the heart.  I still have the violin though.

My next memory comes from when I was in university about 9 years ago, my dad had announced that he'd moved his girlfriend in during the summer, that Christmas they got engaged. I was so happy for my dad   it was an amazing christmas day!
