PC for Dutch Barette Clip from Flower Pony

My sister wants to sell her dutch barette which came with Flower pony.

It seems in a good condition and has been taken good care of by us for over 15 years. Has had no other owners and kept safely apart from pets and smoke.


Only asking PC, my sister has found a potential buyer. If deal does not go through i'll ask her to use her Arena account so she can sell it here herself.

Well, since no one else has guessed, I'll post my thoughts.  I'd say at least $15, and could definitely go higher, maybe $30, maybe even more depending on who's interested and how much they're willing to pay.

Personally - $100-120 mark

This is perhaps one of, if not the hardest regular pony accessory to find but to balance that not everyone is on the look out for it. It is in the comes up for sale maybe once every couple of years bracket. Or if you are me - it never comes up at all. This is my grail accessory and I have been hunting it for years but have never ever ever seen it for sale or open auction due to timing.   

I paid $40-110 for each of my sweetie baby barrettes and $40-100 for each Jewellery Baby necklaces. Not everyone is going to spend that on accessories but those are reasonable amounts for them. Although now I have 2 Baby Lollipop barrettes lol, one of which cost me $4 so that doesnt count as it was in a lot and I will be trading rather than selling it anyway.

Personally if I was buying I would happily go to $120 and for a sale I would say $100ish is fair. Am now off to drool some more at your picture

I must say, i know she will definitely not sell for only $15-30 since we know it's so hard to find.
Her personal thoughts were indeed around the $100 range, but we didn't see any sales for it, so we couldn't check.
( boy, must we sound greedy now! hehe, sorry guys! We just think it's not worth to sell such a HTF thing for little money, no offense!)

I guess my estimate was pretty low, but that's just what *I* would pay, ha ha. And we all know what an accessory nut Cat is so she'd probably be willing to outbid most of us. Oh well, at least I got the discussion started.

But I thought this clip would work pretty much like the other unique Dutch accessories, even though I think the others are all combs and not clips. Aren't the combs worth about $15? And I got one for only $5 (the yellow candy comb).

The Dutch combs do normally start around the $15 for the common and go up to $25-30 for the couple of hardest to find. But they show up for sale a reasonable amount of time - the price on this is more because it honestly hardly ever comes up for sale.

Lol - I do go crazy over some things and honestly this would be one of them if I ever saw it for sale. Look out credit card limit lol!

I concur that $100 is reasonable for a rare accessory     It's really hard to tell how high (or low) these rare things will go for.  If it were my accessory to sell, I would take offers for a week and really promote it (put it in your signature so people see it on other threads).  Ive seen auctions for things like a princess crown barrette go for two or three times what they normally do, just because there were a couple of people that REALLY wanted it at that time.  I think you could safely start off at $80 and easily get over $100 if not more. 

I have this barrette but it's MOC with the Flower Pony. I really would rather have it loose, but I also wouldn't go crazy high on it since I technically have it already. I'm hoping to find a lucky deal on it. But if I didn't have it, I could see myself going into the $100's to get it.

I'm HP's sister, I'm not so active on the MLP Arena but because this is my Barette clip I would like to post something myself.

First, thanks for the respons on the pc.   that will help me a lot!

As HP said, I already have a potential buyer for this barette and I will contact this person about it this week. If there can't be agreed on the price I will make an auction here online in the beginning of next week.

Although $100 is not unreasonable for a rare accessory, the number of buyers for such a specialised item (as opposed to things like princess clips) is quite small, so it may not reach that sort of price in an auction. It really depends one who is currently around and able to spend that kind of money right now.
