Flutterbye and Confetti
« on: September 29, 2012, 07:20:36 AM »
So, what's the deal with Flutterbye and Confetti?  It's super hard to find them in good condition.  Is it just the type of glitter used in their cutie marks (esp Confetti)?  There are many other glitter-cutie-mark ponies that don't rust as quickly.

And with Flutterbye, it's so hard to find her without a mark or some sort of smoozy mold.

The second wave of rainbow-haired ponies seems to be really hard to track down, esp in good condition.

It is hard to find them mint!  I think it's the colors.

Flutterbye seems to be prone to symbol rust, it's hard to find her without it. Confetti as well, but she is also prone to age spots.

I wish they were easier to find in good condition!

I certainly agree that Confetti can be a nightmare to track down without age marks. Her Italian version in nice condition seems to be easier to find than her regular US release. Its that good old white plastic issue - between Confetti, Chief and Gingerbread - clearly this is a very unstable product.

Personally I havent come across as many issues with Fluttershy but as a set the second set of Rainbows are certainly more prone to symbol rust than any other glitter pony - and that again must be a production issue for it to be so specific to a particular set.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I still have Flutterbye from my childhood and she still looks pretty good for her age in comparison to my Baby Moondancer and TE Sweetstuff. I kept 11 of my 100 plus collection and wish I still had them all again!
